Garden fresh tomatoes!

I'm dog-sitting this weekend for a neighbor. We share dog-sitting duty when one of us is away.

Yesterday I came home from work - I had walked to work, a mile, and it was a hot and humid day - and went over to take care of Casey. To my surprise, there was a pile of fresh tomatoes with a note, "Sherry, please take all you want." Suddenly I forgot about being tired and covered in sweat!

You don't have to beg me to take fresh vegetables right off the plant! I could make a meal off sliced tomatoes covered in salt!

  1. Oh, yum! Fresh tomatoes are so wonderful! I can eat a whole plate of them, too.

  2. I will tell you what is good...get what ever you like to make garlic bread with...I live in a little town that is full of Italians....so I get a loaf of Italian bread or this other new French loaf that is kind of tough and chewy....slice the bread, butter it and sprinkle with garlic salt and fry it on stove top till toasty...then eat with a fresh cut up tomato. We love that and one of my husband's buddy's was over and tried it and he loved it too.
