This is an old recipe. Simple to put together, great taste. . . what more can you ask?
1 1/2 pounds ground beef
1/2 cup bread crumbs
1 egg beaten
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
salt and pepper
sliced mozzarella
dried parsley
3/4 cup ketchup
3/4 cup water
1 tablespoon Worcestershire
Combine the ground meat, egg, mustard and salt and pepper. With a rolling pin, roll to a 10 x 13 inch rectangle.
Lay slices of mozzarella on top. Sprinkle with parsley. Roll tightly in jelly roll fashion and place in oblong baking dish.
Combine the ketchup, water and Worcestershire. Pour this over the meat.
Bake in 375 oven for an hour and ten minutes, basting with the ketchup sauce frequently.
Serve with mashed potatoes and a vegetable.
